“I thank my God with every remembrance of you.” (Philippians 1:3)
Often scripture challenges us to strive higher or reflect deeper – but as Paul wrote to the Philippians he first celebrated his appreciation for them. How he loved those fellow Christians! What an encouragement their faith was to him as he endured hardships far away from them. Their daily “partnership in the gospel” strengthened fellow believers and influenced non-believers.
You are Philippians. You may tire in the midst of intense times of life, but your “partnership,” your consistent generosity of time and talent, strengthens those around you. And the seeds of the gospel for which you endure are planted daily in hungry hearts which you touch.
Thank God for the gifts He has given you so that you might help build the kingdom.
