WHAT: Seed Funding - funds to start something or develop an idea. Intended for building community and highlighting gifts - yours and others!

WHY: Each of us has ideas and dreams! This opportunity is intended to provide some funds to help you try something that maybe you’ve been thinking or praying about doing. We believe YOU may have an amazing idea and the gifts, skills, or time to do it!

WHERE: Proposed activities or projects should be done in the Avondale Neighborhood, and can be initiated by South congregants or Avondale neighbors.

As you’re thinking about things you could do, consider:

  • Who do I know that I could connect with to do this?

  • Is there someone already doing something that a little bit of money could help move their goal or dream forward?

  • Be creative!

  • Keep GIFTS in mind. How might you discover gifts of people you connect with to help you create and do this project? Is it possible to discover gifts of people that might attend the activity or participate in the project?

To request use of funding

Answer the following questions in writing and submit to Cherilyn.

  1. What is a brief summary of what you want to do?

  2. How much money are you requesting for this project?

  3. Is there anyone else working on this project with you? If so, please list them by name.

  4. How soon will you be ready to do this project?

  • Requests up to $300

  • Funds will be granted as requests are made

  • Limited funds available, so if you have an idea, submit it as soon as possible!
